How to reply to multiple users in a single post?
Look in here for step-by-step procedures on how to upload photos to the gallery, embed images in posts, and use other fun features of this website.
The Scenario: You've posted some boneheaded question about airplanes. Several fine folks have taken the time to reply to you. Now you want to reply to all of them individually within a single post. Is there an @ feature? Can I go:
- Code: Select all
@Zzz
and then tag Zzz in my reply? Bonus points if Zzz is then notified that I have responded to their post.

1. Start a reply to a topic by clicking "Post a Reply"
2. Once you're in the editor view, scroll down past the text area to a scrollable area that contains all the previous posts on the topic. In the upper right corner of each post will be a "QUOTE" button.
3. Highlight the text you want quoted from poster 1, then hit their QUOTE button. Scroll down, highlight text from Poster 2 and hit their QUOTE button. If you don't highlight, it will quote their entire post.
4. Continue doing this until you've chosen all the quotes you want to reply to
5. Go back up to your editor window. All those quotes should have been copied into your post. Insert your replies between their quotes.
Unfortunately, this version of PHPBB3 doesn't support username mentions.

I just did something similar.
With my minimaI computer skills, i do it a bit different.
I hit the "quote" button at the bottom of the first person's post.
Reply to him, usually after deleting everything that I'm not addressing.
Then open the same thread in another window, hit the "quote" button,
then cut-n-paste what I want to reply to into my first reply post.

That's probably how the developers did it too, until they made the feature I described above.
