Should I primer the bare aluminum under the door hinge before riveting the new one on?

Do it! I did a large paint project on my Bonanza a couple years ago. Aluminum is very electrically active and will corrode over time if it comes in contact with dissimilar metals.

Its been a while... but couple updates.

Got the Airglas Carbon Fiber extended baggage installed.

Also got the firewall mounted battery installed, relocated the remote oil filter, and replaced the crusty old rubber engine firewall mounts with the aluminum floatplane mounts.

New Whelen POS/ACL lights for wingtips and tail.

Plus a ton of a bunch of other squawks - new brakes pads and rotors, new hoses, new ELT, safety wire where missing, etc etc
