Alex. I don't know what time your course ends but remember it stays light there till around 9 PM. It's only a 20 minute flight over.Alex wrote:I'm looking forward to meeting you. This is my first BCP event too. By the way, is there any schedule of events? I can't get there until Saturday morning because I'm taking the McCall Mtn Course which doesn't end until Friday night. I'm worried that when I fly over on Sat morn, everyone will be out flyin' and I wont know where to join the group.

If George tries to take you to Mile High or Vines look out.
This is going to be fun.

Don't sweat it, George or anyone is happy enough if you just circle overhead and watch. There is never pressure to land anyplace you don't feel comfortable. We watched him land at Simone and Dewey Moore from overhead and it was cool enough.

I've flown back to JC after a day of fishing as late as 9 and it is still very do able. For someone new to canyon flying I would suggest be on the ground by 8:30 PM. Check the JC camera tonight at various hours and you'll get an idea...Student BCP wrote:It might be light out still but i think those canyons can get really dark.
