I'm in Minnesota

Edit: I'm in Minnesota! Brought a lot of video gear with me in case anyone feels like being in a BCP video.

Headed to Eveleth, MN next month July 8-17. If anyone is around, it would be fun to meet up. I'll be on Long Lake.

I've got family here from Cali part of that time, but I'll keep you in the loop in case there's a chance to go Cubbing around.

I know Brainerd is a fair distance away, would be great to see you and meet the Mrs. though. I'm pretty sure Long Lake is doable in the cub. If not we could meet at Ely Lake.

That's only a couple hundred miles from me. I have a couple of commitments that week, but keep me posted--I would love to come meet you.

Land of the hot and cold water towers and US hockey hall of fame. I did my private check ride there 30 years ago.

Zane,
Your destination is 140-150 miles east of me. I will try to fly over for a meet and greet if 'the stars align'. Wife has surgery scheduled but may be able to sneak away for a flight. Will know more as the time gets here.
I hope you enjoy your time in the state.

Great. PM me your phone.

I have yet to reach out to Rich B at Eveleth, but I think they do a Thursday night BBQ at his hangar if I remember correctly.

Re: Return to Eveleth, Minnesota

PM on they way. :) I had forgotten about the BBQ....I remember he use to have a thread advertising it but haven't noticed it this year. I will mention that I don't spend much time reading threads this time of year with all the 'work' needing to be done.

Been meaning to ask, "Return to Eveleth"? Are you from there, Zane?
I thought you were a southern Oregon boy.

Re: Return to Eveleth, Minnesota

Would be great to get together. My wife's surgery will likely have my full attention from the 12th to 14th. As mentioned before, there's been no mention of Thursday BBQ at Eveleth this year.

Sunday, July 10th, Cloquet EAA chapter has 5:00 dinner, short business meeting at 6:00, followed by flying/visiting. Generally planes under construction in hangar and several flying if weather permits. This chapter leans toward builders and "low and slow" types. I can do transportation if you like.
