IACRA IA & CFI renewal is nice

Have problems with your aircraft? Maybe just questions about how best to tune or adjust something? Regs or maintenance? Need to know the best way to do something?

Re: IACRA IA & CFI renewal is nice

Got this in an email the other day;

"We have not received an IACRA request for renewing you IA. Please log on to IACRA. You have only 17 days left. "

I replied with a screen shot showing my application filing date of 2/18/23, no response yet.

I was told that the IA renewal application needed to be completed in the month of March. May want to check with FSDO.

I did mine yesterday, called in right after, and within minutes I received my renewal letter.

I got the letter today.

I was told we could apply anytime, but FSDO wasn't going to start processing them till March 1st. The FAA is no different than any other gov office, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

This being the off year for IA renewals, do we need to load anything into IACRA?

Time to renew my CFI. I don't currently instruct but I'm interested in a quality online review program. I've used King and AOPA before.

Anybody have any good suggestions?

I renewed with AOPA this last fall. They went to a whole new program about the time I finished. So, if you've renewed with them before, it will be an entirely new program. I like their programs, pretty comprehensive, and I feel like I actually learn some things.....not always the case with a FIRC.
