Landing there is understatedly interesting! While not particularly short—it’s maybe 300’ long—the approach/departure over the abrupt cliff had our full attention! The strip itself is pretty rough; two pronounced ruts and a decidedly uphill orientation add a challenging dimension.
Definitely one of the most magical, stunning, amazing—adjectives escape me—places that Mike and I have ever visited.
Truly blessed!
I was up in SE Alaska for the summer, flying Part 135 charter and backcountry. I'm working on a full trip report for Backcountry Pilot in the near future!
About 1 min long. Link:
