Idaho to California

I will be going to Fresno Ca from St. Anthony Idaho next week VFR. Anyone have a favorite route? I usually go to Twin Falls, Elko, then Reno or Mammoth and over depending on the MOA activity. I'd like to try the Southern route--SLC, Mesquite then over the Sierras but the MOAs and the winds near Mojave have always worried me. Any advise would be appreciated.

Nosedragger- head to SLC, the through the restricted area to winemucca, down to Reno-tahoe and over. Down the west side ti Fresno. Pretty flight. PM me and I can give you some other routes I have flown. I grew up near Fresno. Which of course qualifies me to give you air directions to get there!!

My vote is, U12 06U BAM LOL TVL O22 FCH (or FAT as is your preference.)
Keeps you near airports, and out of restricted airspace. If we are experiencing a summer weather pattern, you'll want to clear the Sierras before the thunderstorms start building in the afternoon.
