I'm with ya. I was thinking of Midas for some reason (there is a little strip there, if I remember right). Never mind me #-o .

What about a piper clipper pa16 they are afordable and have side by side seating with a stick. they are under powered in stock form but there are some around with 0-320 or even 0-360s in them.
you may find a pa 14 or a sportsman 2+2 also but they will demand better money than the clipper. I think thats about all the options with sideby seating and sticks in a taildragger.

tricycles are for little girls

PZL Wilga 80
The last couple months there have been a few on barnstormers you could probably get for $50, I checked today and their listings must have ran up. You'd have a roomy 4 seater w/ great viability, jump platform, and be set up for glider tow, all with that great radial sound.

Well - the Wilga I'm sure is a solid platform. But it's kinda like clams. They may taste good but I'll never know because I just can't get past the way they look!

Hey Terry! How about a CallAir?? Looks like a neat airplane. It's a side by side with sticks! About just what you may be looking for. Don't ask me any questions, because I don't know anything about this plane.

Well, if you're going that way, how about the Culver Dart on Barnstormers?
Designer was a rather well known guy by the name of Al Mooney.

Saw this listed yesterday on Barnstormers. If I was in the market for another airplane, I would definitely be looking at this. My only question would be why the Continental instead of the O-320? It is listed for 35K.

Sounds like the builder when finished rummaged around in a coffee can for a data plate and came out with a Clipper at random

On the topic of Clippers, I saw an absolutely gorgeous one at the NWAAC fly-in this year:

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

once&futr_alaskaflyer, you're probably right about pulling a name out of the hat. That plane gives me the impression it's closer to a PA14,(sort of) except it's got that six cyl. Continental hanging off the nose. :-k
