Increase in Idaho Registration Fees

Story here. http://www.idahostatejournal.com/news/local/article_b22bdfd2-80ab-11e2-9db6-0019bb2963f4.html?mode=story

Glad they want to get rid of the airman registration. I understand the the fees are currently very low but I'm tired of the ever increasing fees associated with owning toys.

Re: Increase in Idaho Registration Fees

I hear ya Whee. Experimentals got hammered here an additional 4% of aircraft value on top of those registration fees. Over the past thirty years though I certainly would have settled for a straight $2 per year increase like this bill. At least its getting earmarked back for your landing strips instead of being dumped in the state's general fund for every other thing they can think of. For your money you at least get something back you can put your wheels on.

They are more invasive too, now they need your drivers license # as well as more money. Of course sh1tcanning a State employee or three won't happen but that's what needs to be done. It's dangerous to own anything anymore.

With a 1320 lb gross weight the higher fee won't break my bank....but yeah, not good to see. Glad I don't have a Maule or 180 when it comes to tax time I'm saying
