Inpulse - Water/Methanol injection
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
While doing some research yesterday I heard about flyinpulse.com and gave them a call. Pretty cool system that was originally developed by Petersen Aviation. You guys with IO Continentals should give them a call and express interest so they will expand from just the C188, C210 and the Baron. They said they wouldn't have a problem working with a home builder on setting up a system for their plane. I'm thinking this would work great in a Bearhawk with a TCM IO-360. At my normal DAs the system would never run but I'd have it for those times I head to lower elevations.

News to me, didn't know it was available on piston. Many years ago when Metro III and 23 were on line, I used it often, the III only approved for take off, on the 23 as emergency reserve power as well as take off.
Not for me on the Maule.

That's cool. Was looking into a water/ethanol injector...couldn't find anything when I built the IO520 permold heavy case with the "D" induction for my Bearhawk.....
Thanks

I have been building and running water /methanol injection on every turbo motor I have operated for 30+ years.. Easy and cheap to assemble.. Works great for boosted motors.. Not really sure it is needed for naturally aspirated motors though...

I've installed a few on high compression cast iron valve in head engines...but an airplane? Wish I would have been pointed at this forum long ago!
