inreach / spot / spydertracs which one?
Avionics, airplane covers, tires, handheld radios, GPS receivers, wireless Wx uplink...any product related to backcountry aircraft and flying.
There was a previous thread about
www.1800wxbrief.com being linked with a number of the Inreach/spot/spydertracs units. I am no expert on these but which ever of these units works well where you are going sounds like a very nice compliment to a 406 ELT w/ gps tracking.
The 406 ELT reaches out directly to the SAR satellites and the sat phone based units can be linked directly to Flight Service. Sounds like a good combo.

Just spent three weeks at my cabin 110-miles from the nearest human. InReach worked great for keeping folks back home posted as to our status.
The ability to get a five-day forecast on the InReach is a big bonus.
