Inside a cylinder

Hey everybody, I don't want to be the guy who only posts in political threads, so here is a cool video I saw that someone posted on another website recently. It's a very interesting view from inside a cylinder demonstrating the 4 cycles. Hope this works.

That is really neat. Do you know if the flames and smoke are simulated? I ask because I saw a real-time movie taken through a quart window port on an operating engine, and the predominant color was blue, just like a well adjusted torch.

Hey quicksilver,

Saw this yesterday on the Luscombe form...I though it was very cool. I wish it showed the exhaust stroke.

Yeah me too, I'm not sure why they cut short the exhaust stroke in the video.

I wonder if they have some metal(in the elemental sense, like sodium or some other metal that burns colorfully) particulate being injected in with the fuel to make the fire of the combustion easy to see?

Maybe it's just a little too rich. You get the yellow/orange flame if it's rich
