Interesting clarification on the old Gryder DC3 incident

I remember the story about him and the cops and his DC3, as often, apparently there was more to the story, I found it interesting, thought others might too

Re: Interesting clarification on the old Gryder DC3 incident

Teddy Roosevelt said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." We pilots are a small number in a democracy so speaking softly helps. The federal government carries a bigger stick concerning aviation matters than does cities that take federal dollars to build airports. The feds can be of help to us in these cases, unless the city wants to pay the feds back and build a Walmart.
