We just had to replace the internal batteries on our KLN 94's at work. When the shop did the first one, they failed to mention that all the user waypoints that had been entered would be lost. We got the unit back and they were all gone. Lunkily, we still had the other unit to copy them down, but was a pain re-entering them by hand. I don't have any experience with your particular unit, but you might want to ask the factory if this will happen to yours.

Uh Huh

Yep, they fixed it and yes it did lose all the user waypoints. 1/2 hour of work, reprogram the data card and $625 lighter in the wallet. :(

However was able to drop off and pick up, so no freight involved. Factory folks said a 7 to 10 year life. So the guy whom gets this plane next will have to worry about. :? Garmin folks in Salem treated me real well, so I would give them an ATTABOY there.
