"Invalid Token" when logging in. Why,what does that mean?

I have read the "tech issues and sys update post", but no luck explaining what it means when I get "Invaild token" on a plain white window.
Is there something on my end that I can change or do differently? (...other than pull harder on the string that goes to my tin can  )

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I'd wager your security settings in your browser are too strict and something is happening to your cookie that is used to maintain your login session.

I had that occur once on my Mac. I restarted my laptop and the problem was resolved.

That might work, but it's a sledgehammer for a screwdriver problem. In your browser, delete your cookies and re-login. If you've configured your browser to be overly secure, as in not allowing cookies to be set (which sometimes is appropriate if surfing the Silk Road, maybe?) then the error will occur because there's no cookie present on your machine to store your authentication token.

I am having this problem recently on Chrome. If I go with an incognito window I can log in. I checked my cookie settings and dont think I am overly secure so unsure whats causing it. Any ideas?

I may have it sorted out, I think it was the adblocker extension on Chrome.

Sounds about right. Anything that alters cookies can screw up the authentication token stored in a cookie.

Why use Chrome instead of Firefox? I select and paste a lot of stuff and Chrome won't let me do that.

Better CSS rendering, faster javascript compiler, better developer tools. Not sure why your copy/paste issues. I know you use linux, are you using Gnome or KDE? I assume Chrome uses GTK.

Marty, I just saw this article and thought of you. Though your copy/paste issue is like nothing I've ever heard of.
