Veteran pilot Brendon Ford says an apparent gauge problem led him to believe he had more fuel than he actually did.

That's why I never trust my fuel gauges!!!

I have a cessna 140, so everyone that I know asked if it was me. :?: I told them that the fuel guage story may keep him out of legal trouble, but it won't slow down the ribbing at all. nobody that I fly with trusts those things. I only trust the paint stirrer. He was fortunate that there was any flat area at all to land in, in that jungle.
