It's Christmas, Solstice and time to play!

Another foot of snow last night, more on the way this weekend, 2' of ice on the lake and 2-3' of snow at the cabin. Today is the Winter Solstice http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/85 ... 1157c.html the worst (for those with light issues) is over.
I'll put the Peril on skis this weekend, picked up the tail ski last night. Some time well spent with an instructor friend of mine in my plane now and start exploring a new genre of flying.
The kids are out of school tomorrow and have been Machining with gusto. I picked up a 1980 John Deere 440 Trailfire (!) for a $150 and it runs great. Perfect for the 11YO boy Hey Wupp! Ever play with the old vintage machines? These things are a hoot!
We'll pretty much button up the office for the next week or so. Maybe get to do a little bird hunting with the wife & certainly New Years at the cabin for a couple of days.
I love this time of year!

Oh yea, Zane, I still really appreciate my Spell check!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

One of those gifts that keeps on giving!!
Not like VD though.....
