Re: Johnson Creek

I'll 2nd all rob's recommendations. Magee, Cavanaugh Bay, and Sullivan Lake are all beautiful, great places to go. Sullivan Lake is the most remote of the 3, with Magee being a very close 2nd. Cavanaugh Bay is not very remote, but the restaurant/marina there make getting a meal very handy and nice if you don't feel like cooking. Also, Cavanaugh Bay has showers, (very nice facility) fire pits, barbeques, and they stock firewood for you.

My family, along with my Dad and brother will be there this weekend. We are going in Friday morning and leaving Sunday morning. My brother is in a wheelchair and the bathrooms with ramp all being wheelchair accessible make it hard for us to pass up.

I'll keep an eye out for you and if you and if you drop in be sure and say hi. Look for the 182 (the one in my avatar but no wheel pants) and my dad's 207. We will be cooking popcorn in the evenings....plenty to share! :D

Re: Johnson Creek

Looks like my no go decision last wed was a good one so i dont feel so bad. Theres a fence (weather) across northern nevada southern idaho that goes out into the pacific. With storms predicted till monday. Would have been my worst idaho trip in years stuck at J C every day. Looks pretty gray today on the web cam.

Re: Johnson Creek

I was up rafting on the main Salmon River in the Frank Church Wilderness area last week. We floated from Corn Creek to Riggins. We had a few drops of rain last Sunday but otherwise great weather. No smoke in that area.
