Johnson Creek 2015 TR

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Johnson Creek 2015 TR

This last week we made it up for our annual, albeit short, Idaho trip. It was such a crazy week that we couldn't leave until the Thursday afternoon. It was hot but the ride wasn't too bumpy. The plan was to go straight to JC, but that changed when Sadie decided to redecorate the interior with projectile vomit about 10 minutes south of Smiley Creek. So, that became the stop for the first night.

Breakfast the next morning before heading to JC.

We had a nice flight over to JC and some friends of ours had saved us a nice camp spot next to them. They have been having electrical problems with the irrigation system and haven't been able to do even one watering. I've never seen the strip so dry and dust at JC!

Getting firewood for camp.

Santa brought me a new tent last Christmas. We love it!

Cooling down at the creek in the afternoon.

The next morning we flew over to Big Creek for breakfast. They are in the home stretch of building the new lodge and are hopeful that it will be open for next season!

After the breakfast, we flew over to Moose Creek for a little hike.

More cooling down.

It was hot. Both those in and out of the shade read pretty much the same.

Even without the fly-in, it was good to see a lot of BCPers and friends in the backcountry. It was a fun four days. I'm hoping to get back up there for a late season trip with more flying.

Sorry I missed you guys. I'll be back in September. The Durango guys are probably coming too.

Cool. Let me know when. I'd like to go to Fish Lake and camp.

It was nice meeting you and your family (albeit briefly) at Moose Creek.

Awe man! Were you in the 170? I'm sorry I didn't ask if you were on here. It was good meeting you too. It was surprisingly smooth getting back to JC. I hope we can meet up again!

Yup, that was me. I didn't think to ask either, but will keep an eye out for next time. Glad you had a great trip.

Re: Johnson Creek 2015 TR

Thanks! I was so preoccupied herding the cats (kids) and getting out of there before it got hotter than it was. I'm otherwise much more chatty! :)
