Scott and I took our first vacation in 8 years. Decided to visit our favorite Seaplane Instructor, Terry Hayes and go get current in her summer location in Kalispell, Montana. And of course we had to fly ourselves!

The SportCub and Champ did great, although there were a moments over the mountains between Idaho and Montana with no where to go in an emergency. We found a better route home.

We have taken all our videos and photos and posted them on YouTube. Some of the video quality is not as good as I would have liked,
having to compress the videos for the upload.

We had great flying weather other than a little too windy for some of the lakes, Rain all day one day and then cloudy the following the day.
The trip was the first really LONG distance flight for me and my 90 hp Champ. We kept the legs short and in the mountain regions were done by noon.

If you have never been up in that area, I highly recommend a visit. Glacier Park is pretty awesome as well.
