Kalispell, MT area BCPers

I'm up in this neck of the woods vacationing with my wife's family this week. If anyone is nearby, it would be cool to meet up. We'll be driving back to Oregon on saturday, probably through Sandpoint/Lake Pend Oreille area.

Or should I drive home through Missoula and cut over past Lolo Hot Springs through Kooskia? We only have 2 days to get home but I always like to take different routes. We drove up here through Coeur d'Alene > St Regis > Polson > Kalispell.

Another option is to drive south on Hwy 83 thru the Seeley-Swan valley. A lot less traffic than Hwy 93 thru the Flathead valley. Both highways will get you to Missoula.

My son will be attending FVCC in the fall. That won't do you much good, however[emoji1]

Well, since you chose to visit NW Montana instead of SW Montana, I can't help you on the meet up thing.... 8)

But, if you haven't done the Lolo route before, do it. Nice scenery, less traffic.

Where in the Kalispell area? I'm heading up to Sandpoint this week and need an excuse to head over to Flathead... We are camping at JC this weekend in the 185, but won't be leaving until Friday after my wife makes it in!

Z, If you get to Sandpoint, you can keep going west on 20 and go on over the North Cascade hiway if you have not been that way, would be great if you could stop by on your way by, but I'm headed to AK on Friday so would miss ya.

Well, crap. I'm getting up there a day later than planned, Zane. Looks like we're going to miss each other!

We're not leaving until Saturday morning, and might stop by to say hi to Hardtail John, so there's still a chance. 8)

Well, it may be getting better, too. Looking at the forecast temps for this weekend, I'm not sure we are going to Johnson Creek after all. Temps in the mid-90's aren't quite what I was hoping for!! Kind of casting around for new ideas... Where is John flying out of these days?

Perry is awesome! I loved watching him run and go bananas. John, it was great meeting you finally after all these years. Thanks again for showing us around your place.
