Ok,
New member, first post. Flying a Maule MT7-235.
Going to KCOE next week in the Maule. Spending a week with the family at the lake but want to take the opportunity to fly into some forgiving backcountry. Experience wise, i fly out of KRDD and have hit nearly all the norcal strips. Flew a 172 into Benchmark MT 2 years ago without difficulty. I've got the DA thing figured out and will be flying early so as not to disrupt the family vacation.
Current plans:
Cavanaugh bay for my first as I've never landed on anything but asphalt/concrete. After a couple of landings there, and if things go well....
Magee, just northwest of KCOE. Then.........?
Gotta go to Libby to visit a friend and may take the oppoortunity to hit Schafer and/or Meadow Creek
So couple of questions..
1. FBO recommnedations at KCOE
2. Other "forgiving" backcountry airstrips
