Kennon covers

well, santa was felling very generous this year and we got a new kennon engine cover and wrap around cabin cover.
they fit perfectly and are of the highest quality i could have imagined. the cabin cover extends to cover the skylight and also down, to cover the patroller doors (that i will install next summer :D ).
the engine cover fits very snug and is a breeze to install even standing in snow up to your knees and wearing big gloves. it even has some heat resistant fabric sewn in where the cover contacts the exhaust pipes in case they are still hot.
the cabin cover is a little more time consuming to install, but with 2 people it should be quite a bit easier. and the fit is amazing.

Sounds like somebody was a good boy this year?

Those Kennon covers do look like they fit very well. I hope your engine appreciates being snuggled like that and treats you well for many years. ;-)I have Bruces covers for my M4 and they work pretty well. I have the full eppenage and the wrap around (and under) cabin cover. Not really any need for the engine cover here as it doesn't really get cold enough. Hopefully Frankie doesn't get jealous...

UP, what kind of skis are you running and could I ask you to send some detail pictures of the attach points? When you get a chance of course.
I have a set of Airglass 2500's but have never installed them as yet. Would appreciate it.

i have federal (fluidyne) A2500A straight skis.
the attatch points are at the gear leg pivot bolts. the original bolts are replaced with eye bolts, and the ski fittings are bolted into these.
this is according to the maule/fluidyne installation drawings for these skis.

i also have drawings for fluidyne retractable wheel skis where the attatch points are on the firewall and on the aft fuselage tubes.

i'm not familiar with the airglass installation. there should be drawings out there somewhere.

i can send pics of mine if you need them..... just let me know

edit: airglas has an up to date website at www.airglas.com
you should be asble to contact them for installation drawings specific to your model.

I just installed a set of Airglass 2500 skiis on my plane. They look good, can't wait to try them out. If you need some help email or respond and would be happy to help you out as much as I can.

Later,
Steve
