Kinda sorta hitchhiking around the west, by plane.

Hey everyone,

I'm a pilot with 75 hours who is visiting family out west, and was at first considering hitchiking to see them all to make it more interesting than taking the bus, but now I came up with another idea--trying to see if I could help pay for the gas of someone who was already flying these routes and ride along. I love flying, moreso as a passenger, and would be thrilled to bits if even one of these legs worked out.

I called the FBOs, but they said they mostly fill up gas and couldn't help me with something like this. Are there forums where people can carpool (planepool?), so to speak?

November 22nd, 5PM: Las Vegas to Kingman, AZ

November 26, Flexible: Kingman Arizona to Los Angeles area

November 30: Flexible: Los Angeles to Bay Area

Thanks so much for any thoughts or tips.

See if you can contact BCP member 182 STOL Driver, he's based near Las Vegas and is frequently looking for an excuse to fly in to LA. He has friends at interesting little airports all the way down the river into Kingman or Needles too. No guarantees, I have no idea what his schedule is. There's a good local Mexican restaurant near the airport he flies into, we can all sit down and have a burrito or whatever. Glad to meet you if you come by this way.
