Kmart & Marvels Mystery Oil (MMO)

Was running low on MMO and went to Kmart to purchase more and there was none to be found on their shelves. When I asked an employee they said they didn't think they carried it anymore

Where are others on the site buying it from?

First saw MMO at Pep Boys in the early 60's. Thought it a Marvel that anybody would use it. Have not heard of it seance until I started flying. What is its appeal.

For extra protection from cold weather starts you can't beat it. A pint of MMO to 7 quarts oil and it works great. Next winter try it in your vehicle for those cold morning start ups. Instead of hearing that metal on metal racket for the first couple of minutes after a cold start (which equates to many miles of wear) you only hear a nice purr. Works the same in the aviation engine.

If you run auto fuel, adding a few ounces of MMO to each tank keeps the pistons, rings and valves nice and clean as well as lubricated. Your plugs seem to last a lot longer too.

Thanks for the locate tips, guys. I'll check our local auto parts store.
