I'll agree it is pretty but Lake Hood (or rather Lake Spenard on the other end of Gull Island) is a mess. I can't even walk around my tiedown with snowshoes because of the overflow. It is raining and temps are in the 40s and forecast to stay that way through next week. Nasty!

I am sure those 40 deg temps don't help with the overflow

Warm sticky snow is no fun ski flying. Same temps here in Idaho
