Still fogged in here...things are messed up when its clear in the valley and foggy on the coast this time of year #-o Oh well, hangar neighbors are showing up talking about a BBQ today. Might instead have to try for the "First Fly-out of the year"!! Hopefully its soon...

Re: LAST FLY-OUT OF THE YEAR: NorCal West Circuit

Well because of some fog and snow up in Truckee it was just Joey and I today. We had fun but the winds quickly began to pick up and just made flying in the hills no fun. We called it a day early and returned home, I had a 25mph tailwind the whole way home.

Nothing like a fresh coating of wet cow shit on the wings!

So who was in the 180hp white and red 170 that flew over us? Sorry I forgot what you said your name was  We'll have to get together and do some flying sometime.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.

Re: LAST FLY-OUT OF THE YEAR: NorCal West Circuit+PICS

Hey Rob (and all),
I was the one flying over Hammond's in my new red and white 180 horse 170 today. It would be awesome to get together and do some flying. My partners and have had the 170 for a month now, about 25 hours on it, absolutely love it. I am up in Davis.

It was a great morning. On the way to the airport I scrolled through BCP and saw this thread. Decided I'd monitor the freq. while doing my normal scenic flight around Berryessa. Then I heard you guys chatting about the fog so I flew by the only large fog patch in the area and spotted you. I never knew that field was there! Very cool stuff.

Rob, maybe some time I can tag along as a passenger so I can get familiar with some spots before I take my 170 on the next trip?

Catch you soon,
Jonathan

We were wondering how you found us! I can take you up in the 170 and show you some of the local spots for sure. You'll just have to give me a ride in your 180hp 170 some time! Someday I'd like a big engine in mine too.
