Lebanon Strawberry Festival fly-in? 6/5/10

Does anyone know anything about a fly-in in Lebanon OR, in conjunction with their Strawberry Festival the weekend of 6/5/10? A friend of mine suggested this as a possible trip, but the only aviation-related thing I could google up was an EAA Young Eagles event.

Might be good but I will stick with Burns Pancakes on that weekend.

Kind of hoping somebody from this area (like Savannah Tom-- hint, hint!) will pipe up and give me some feedback as to whether there's really gonna be a fly-in. I hate to go all the way there for a fly-in and have it be a bust. The guys I'll be flying with unfortunately aren't much for (relatively) unimproved strips so a lot of possible alternates in the area are out.

Here's what I could find on the strawberry festival fly-in. Stolen from the AOPA website:

Jun 5 - 6 — Lebanon, OR. Lebanon State (S30). Lebanair Aviation Strawberry Days Fly in`. 2nd Annual Fly In and Young Eagle Days. Held during the Annual Lebanon Strawberry days Festival and the Annual Tractor Pull. Shuttle service provided free to both. Hot Dog & Burgers on site. Contact Larry D. Knox, 541-258-5029. Email Website Event ID: 14259

I hope to head for Burns, myself, but this would be a good backup plan for marginal weather.

I've had experience in the past with a "fly-in" being listed on a calendar, but when the date comes nothing happens. If you haven't heard anything locally about this one, Tom, I'm gonna take a guess & bet that it's not gonna turn out to be much of anything.

This event is on! I flew in this morning to gas up my plane. $3.35 for mogas. Larry says he has been guaranteed at least another year of ethanol free 91. Here's the poster on the fly-in:

My plan is Burns Saturday as long as I don't have to scud run in the mountains.

Sunday looks good, if the wife wants we will head to Lebanon. If she doesn't want to go I'll come by myself. I see there are tractor pulls too.

Cheers...Rob

 Tractor pull is cancelled because of too much RAIN! FBO is having hamburgers, hotdogs, chili dogs Sat., and Sun., for small cost. 3 airport cars available.
