Legal Eagle

Sometimes the most fun way to get into the backcountry, Part 103 Ultralights and Light Sport Aircraft have their own considerations.

Legal Eagle

I just ordered a set of plans for the Legal Eagle ultralight. Anyone here ever seen or flown one?
Thanks

Thanks. Don't know if I'll ever build one, but it looked interesting and the plans were only $50...so what the heck. Besides, I used to have a trike on Skis and that was just too much fun, so I'm thinking the Legal Eagle would be too.

Saw one at OSH and met the designer. It's a cool design and flys quite nicely from the reports there. I am thinking about building one with the new single rotor small rotary engine. Waiting for more info on engines.

I saw that engine in the EAA magazine. It certainly does look interesting. I'll be watching for more info on it too.

I looked at one while at Oshkosh. I was pretty basic, almost crude looking but it sure seemed like a good performer. I watched it fly and it was up and climbing in no time. I think it would be a fun toy.
