Little PIREP

Stopped by Llano for some fuel, great airport, uncontrolled, well kept grass strip, and a paved strip and ramp that seems almost like new, good fuel prices, 4 or 5 crew cars, old ex cop crown vics and a suburban. The guys working the little FBO are very helpful and friendly too.

2 miles away is cooper BBQ, which is pretty much legend status, the brisket practically melts in your mouth.

I fly into Llano for some of that BBQ every once in a while too, good stuff. Also, check out 1XS4 just west of Llano next to the Llano River. Red Sands Ranch, they allow people to fly in and if you have big bucks you could even rent the place out.
