Log in, then Reply?
Have a problem with the website? Maybe you can find the answer here.
I log-in, then write a reply. After I submit, I get a message that I have to be logged in to reply. My whole reply has been lost, and I have to do it all over. It works the second time, but sometimes it's just too frustrating so I don't bother. What am I doing wrong? Don't I have to log-in first in order to reply? Why do I get the error message?

Baloney is still baloney, no matter how thin you slice it.
I'm not sure why your session in terminated prematurely. It's not designed to work that way. Login sessions are supposed to last for 24 hours if I recall, unless you close the browser. One way to get around that is to select the "Log me in automatically" checkbox on the login page.
Sometimes different computers and different web browsers react differently to how the software is designed. It's tough to troubleshoot why your session dies early.
If I write a lengthy reply, I will highlight it, and copy it to the clipboard prior to submitting. If the system craps, I can still just paste it after re-authenticating. I do that on all forums, because it's happened to me too.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
