Lonely Cessna at JC

What's with the Cessna sitting at Johnson Creek. I do my morning ritual check of the webcam, and it seems like that airplane's been there for a couple weeks now.

Broke down? Lost? Digging for Jimmy Hoffa?

Re: Lonely Cessna at JC

That's my spare plane….
I parked it there to reserve a spot for next years Fly-in….
I hope they don't point the webcam in a different direction before then.
Looking at it this way, I can do my pre-flight online and be ready to go when I roll in with my motorhome :)

Hunters would be my guess. There is a long list of possible reasons to leave a plane behind. I did that alongside the river last weekend due to a flat main tire.

It missing it's horizontal and elevator. Like gone. It was glad to have some company last week when we were there. No other damage we could see.

Elevator and horizontal problems are about the best reason to leave a plane behind. Pitch control issues are less desirable than engine failure, fire, and maybe even some partial wing failure scenarios.

Yeah. Might wish you was back in the motorhome when it turns into an 80 mph one wheeled lawn aerator.

Haha. It takes some guys the whole thing to bleed off the airspeed from the full flap dive.

"Runway ahead of you is like money in the bank!" I wonder if it's enough to pay for the repairs? And the 6 month ramp fee at JC if they don't hurry.
