Long take off on floats

Just curious, but were you trying to stay on the water a long time? I heard the throttle change pitch a couple of times indicating that full throttle wasn't being used all the time?

I am already getting excited for the spring and floats. This snow situation is sort of depressing, no skis, no hangar. Time to head south. Merry Christmas, Ford

howdy all, glad you enjoy the video

Actually where we are, there are no other boats, its backwoods alaska, only boats up there 99.999% of the time is us

As for the pitch in the throttle, when you go into s-turns, you want to leave some power out and when you start getting into the tighter (of the) turn, you add more power to compensate for the opposite drag

I coulda taken off after going round that 1st bend, however the wind wasn't in my favor as you seen in the final stretch, i was actually quite heavy and trying to get over that bluff of xmas trees woulda been a pain in the ass, going round the last bend leaves me a "valley" of sorts because there's a creek that goes up and can leave room for maneuvering when im near the ground

I thought I heard a dog bark then howl when the stall horn was going off. Wish I could fly with my dog, nother reason to get a bigger plane.

Hey this might sound like a silly question, but how do you do your runup on floats? Do you just keep taxiing and do it? Or do you throw out an anchor?
