Looking for a northern MN remote strip, any ideas?

We are thinking of camping northern Minnesota Memorial Day weekend. I would love to find a remote strip somewhere, without a lot of people preferably. Anyone have any hidden gems out there?

Marty I was hoping you would get some replies from the locals up north as I to have looked for some places to fly in and camp. It seems most public strips don't allow under wing camping. Bowstring just north of Grand Rapids is a nice grass strip very quiet. They have a mobile home with showers. Walking distance is a resort with boat rental for fishing. If you end up going some where let me know, always looking for some place to go.

Two Harbors has a camping area on the field. Not many folks at night. Credit card gas. Mogas and 100 LL.

I'm one of those 'private strips' that isn't really a backcountry strip but I am definitely in the woods. Mississippi headwaters is close by, (Itasca State Park). Stop in if you are in the area.

WWhunter, PM with your location and we'll try to do that. As its looking now we may camp out at 9Y0 (Bowstring). I talked with Ken the manager and it sounds like he is very welcoming. Hope the weather is good.
