LOOKING FOR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALASKA BUSH FLYING TRAINING

Anyone have recommendations on where to go for tailwheel off-strip bush flying training in Alaska? My boyfriend and I are both commercial pilots in Canada (flying floats & wheel aircraft)... and it's on our bucketlist to do this training in Alaska one day. We'd preferably like to go somewhere that has 2 planes/instructors so we can fly together/go on day trips at the same time. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

Don Lee in Talkeetna does off airport training in Pacers on bushwheels and skis.

I've also heard Don Lee's thing is really fun, even for more experienced people. Maybe it's because you get to fly someone else's plane in the off airport environment rather than your own.

ACTS, Alaska Cub Training Specialists is another place you could try. No experience with them other than they are based out of my home airport. They have a fleet of cubs and some really good instructors.

+1 on Don Lee's team at Alaska Floats & Skis. Did my SES rating there last August, it was an intense & exhilarating experience.
