Well I will be flying from SoCal to Boston in a few weeks in a multi (right now it's looking like it will be a PA34-200).
Any good strips I should checkout on the way. Looking for something explore worthy!!
Already going to check out the Grand Canyon and maybe try to find one of those UFO diners in ROW.
Suggestions????

Monument Valley in So East Utah is kind of neet. Carfull for density altitude. I was there about 2PM a week ago today. Landed uphill (2%) into the wind. Took off downhill with a 10 kt tailwind. 85 Deg F
Kind of squirly

Marble Canyon on the Arizona strip. Lee's Ferry nearby if you want to hook a worm. Motel and good grub across the street from your tie-down. Killer scenery and you can fly up the paria river gorge on the way in or out.

Altitude is Time…. Airspeed is Life!
It's not backcountry, but Hannibal, MO is a nice place to visit. Its a very pretty town, with all the Mark Twain history stuff, and you can take a dinner cruise on a riverboat (book ahead). We stopped there on our cross-country trip last year and really enjoyed it.

Hite, UT (UT03). Paved strip on the upper edge of Lake Powell. Nice place to stretch the legs and have lunch (covered picnic table there). Scenery is stunning.

Gaston's White River Resort, Lakeview, AR. 3M0. Make sure you use 0 and not O. It has a restaurant on the field and 3200 ft. of fine grass. I saw at least 3 twins in there when I was there June 11-13th. Right on the White River.
http://www.gastons.com. Just below Bull Shoals Dam, and only 42 airmiles from Branson, MO.

Have you landed on the USS Sedonia yet. It is like a flat top. Here is a video of my landing there:
