Hey guys... born and raised in seattle but since im stuck flying out of Miami I don't get up there as much as I would like.
Since I am only up in Seattle one week a month I never considered purchasing an aircraft up there.. Until... my brother started to take flying lessons.. and now wants to split a plane!
Nows my chance to cross off all those state airports! What's the best deal in hangers\tiedowns near seattle? I am sure BFI would kill me... renton?
Also anyone know of a reasonably priced CFI whos looking for work!? my brother has the touch! should be an easy license.
thanks guys.

Champs rock! Check out Harvey Field (S43) they have some good deals on hangars, a good restaurant, family run and overall good people.

I looked into this last summer. I remember a few of the prices, but they might have changed.
Cheapest tie down I found was Monroe at $40 / month.
Auburn was $80 / month. I ended up tying down there because it was close to my sister's house (Free Taxi, woo hoo!)
Renton and Boeing I seem to recall being each a little over $100/month for a tie down.
I didn't check hangar prices since every place seemed to have waiting lists to get one.
Also, 76 station on Auburn Way just N of 15th St. (extremely close to Auburn airport) had ethanol free gasoline.

I have a nice 172 I'll sell you!! I also own a Champ and personally if I had to keep an airplane tiedown outside I prefer it to be a metal aircraft. Just personal opinion of course.
You can find decent 172's out there for not much more than the price of a Champ, J-3, etc. A 172 is a good all around and very versitile plane.
Good Luck,
WW
