oooooohhh, hate the color. it should be all over white with red stripes....or maybe yellow with a lightning bolt....

....other than that, the SC.org group oughtta enjoy the familiar style. But don't expect 'em to agree on much.

Nice Husky photo on the home page.

I think the site looks great! It will attract a variety bush pilots and I'm sure strike up valuable conversation.

Backcountry pilot

Nice job on the website - especially the color scheme. Looking forward to reading and contributing. Please don't have a political forum.

That should have been "would not own one"

Hey, nice site!

REALLY weird, a few years ago, I came across a little site while running a google search on "supercub" called supercub.org. So I promptly signed up since the "chat" on Cubcrafters site was overcensored.
Here's the very interesting part:
A while after signing up on s.org, a couple years down the line there was a TON of members and I was proud that I was member # 16.
Well, purely by chance it appears that I am member #16 on another new site.....this one!
Very cool. 8)
Maybe I'll just change my too-well-known Username to Area 16 or something like that.
See ya round,

yeah...i think i'm #498 on supercub.org.
I don't have the word censor turned on and I don't plan to moderate much unless somebody posts something REALLY inappropriate. The occasional good ol cusswords, if used, probably need to be used. BULLSHIT, being a rather useful word, will never be censored.

Just logged on and

am looking forward to having another forum to visit. I fly a 185 off of a grass strip in Illinois and wing to Ontario as often I as I can. Plan on adding floats in the near future. This should be a place to draw others with similar interests. Steve

Nice idea Zane.........
Hopefully this will instill an awareness of the backcountry and the fantastic airstrips that are available. We must do what we can to help preserve the strips we still have available on public lands.
Also looking forward to the Rant n' Rave section

 Looks like a good site for back strip flying. I like good topics for off hard surface strips. Want to do some ski flying.

Zane,

Really appreciate your openess regarding the nasty, touchy subject of censorship. Sorry to bring it up; as my intention was only to relate my no doubt very exciting history of discovering this site.
Anyway, you have a great idea here, really broadening the subject of off-airport ops. to all types of aircraft--and hopefully seaplanes and amphibs--and their specific limitations.
I'll be around for sure...

I like the looks of this site. Hope it takes off and does well for you. I have been thinking about my ATP and I see some of the sponsors ads have info on that. Thanks.

The Sponsored Links are injected automatically from Google. I wasn't too excited about all the flight training ads coming thru, since most everyone on this site will probably already have all the flight training they want. I need to talk to the Google guys and see if they can tailor the ads more towards pilot supplies and cool products, something that actually does us some good.

Good job Zane! It'll be cool to see flyins organized through this group sometime. Seeing a big group of off road ships of all kinds gathered would be awesome. I think not being brand specific will make this site huge. Thanks Z, you go buddy!
