Lord Flat is essentially a flat area encompassing a two track road which goes along a ridge. The ridge is located where the Imnaha River empties into Hell's Canyon and is one ridge to the west of the Snake. There are actually large white edge markers that denote the runway but these can frequently be missed because of the tall grass during the summer. The two track can sometimes be rutted if someone has driven the road too early or late in the season when things are a bit muddy. I have taken a 182 in there with 6's on the mains and a 5 on the nose without problems but conditions can vary. Realize though that this is essentially at the doorstep to Joseph and therefore a very high density of bushwheel tires. Locals may think your plane is sickly if you have anything smaller than 8.50s

If you walk up the road to the tree line there are several farm implements and other evidence of the previous ranch. Although the road is there, I have only seen a vehicle once during hunting season. Is a much more isolated than Memaloose with it's surrounding cabins.
