LSA Expo in FTG, 2012-05-19
Get together with other pilots or enthusiasts. Plan it or get info about it here.
The Rocky Mountain LSA Expo is not focused much on the backcounty flying, but last year I saw someone visiting in a Savannah, so it seems that backcountry people are present in the area. If possible, I'd like to meet someone who does "light" backcountry flying in something like RANS S-6 or S-7 or flies on Jabiru power. URL:

Blanche (organizer) posted a list of expected vendors. Of interest for backcountry fliers, WAC and RANS are going to bring the airplanes. I had a tooth against World Aircraft in particular because they consumed and terminated the Savanna. However, their new main product is supposed to offer STOL qualities that match or exceed Savanna's, although the airplane does not look like a typical backcountry machine.
I'm going to fly in a rented Remos, the agreement of which says "paved runways only" very explicity. Oh well, at least I'll be flying.
