I concur that the tail is heavy. Test flew one with my step father up in the Red Lake reservation in northern Minnesota before he found the L4/18 in HiC country. This one was a straight 150 O-200 and I thought it felt slow getting up to speed on the soft grass and rode like a hard tail Harley. For want of a better explanation I'm down to guessing its the placement of the gear a bit far forward.
Never flew a Luscombe, they look cool though.
