Lyc 0-235-C1 Exhaust Part #

Could somebody help me out here? I cant find a parts catalog online for this engine.

Part Description: The very last section of exhaust on the left side of the engine. After the exhaust goes 2 into 1 there is approximately 2 feet before it exits the cowling. This piece has an integrated canister on it for the cabin heat.

The story: Smelling exhaust fumes in climbout since buying the 7ECA. Didnt think too much of it as it wasnt very strong. Went to unhook the cabin heat hose today since its about to be 100* here in NC and whatduyaknow...the welded section that separated bad fumes from good fumes is completely trashed. It was hidden during the pre-buy inspection by the outer canister where the hoses are hooked up #-o .

Thanks in advance.

Probably an ACA part number, not Lycoming. Just remove the system and send it out for repair.

I appreciate the reply. I ended up getting in touch via American Champion via Triad Aviation with Aerospace Welding who has the part new or overhauled. I knew I would find the part as soon as I posted the question; therefore, wasting a post.

I know you found your part but here is the manual for the O-235 series:

Bowtie and Clippwagon,

I did not have the manuals for either the airframe or engine. But will download them. Thanks for sharing. I havent searched the entire engine pdf but apparently the "mufflers" are not in there (according to the local LYC dealer that I called).

I am love the 7E so far. My previous time was all in an 8KCAB so it is very comparable. The 7E gets off at about the same distance (no measurements) but climb with 2 aboard and full fuel is far less than the 8K which is a FI with CS prop. Cruise is around 100-105 kts so not a bad travelling machine. One thing that turned me onto the 7E is the usefull load is significantly higher than the GCAA GCBC KCAB, etc.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions. I only have about 10 hrs in the 7E so far.
