Massive slow down over the past few days.

I've been lurking here for a while but over the past 3-4 days I've pretty much stopped coming to the site because it's soooo slow. Any update on when these issues might be resolved?

Haven't noticed any slowdown when at home or using my 'fone. The site has been slow for several weeks from work. I suspect IT implemented something. Thought I screwed something up by resetting IE to defaults but also laptop slowed down as well as it's slow in Firefox.

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.

Horrible slow from my computer at home. Has been for some time. No problems on any other site. No problems away from home or on my phone. I usually just open 3 or 4 tabs on different topics to compensate (somewhat). Sucks.

very slow here. many times it states that you will have to try again in a few minutes and goes to a page with no information. Sometimes as much as 5 min before it will go back to latest topic etc.

Yeah it used to be painfully slow for me too, but recently it has only been slow at work.

Alright it does seem to be localized to my connection between Hawaii and the backcountrypilot host. I'm surfing and posting from one of my servers in NYC and it's nice and fast... guess I'll just need to log into my machine in NYC to surf the site until whatever is going on get's fixed.

Re: Massive slow down over the past few days.

It's very slow from my workplace but is super fast at home. I think that the hosting provider wants to know where the IP addresses are coming from and my firewall at work blocks this kind of stuff. Kind of a bummer, work gets really slow some times. Home, not so much.

Been extremely slow for months for me. Tried everything I could think of to fix it but no luck. I don't stop by much anymore because it is so slow. My contract with my ISP is up soon and I'm hoping that changing will fix the problem.

Everything at my work sucks but BCP works great. Super fast at home using Mozilla and AT&T.

Another update: I'm now posting from my iPad using AT&T 3g and it's spunky. So something is up when using my Oceanic Timewarner road runner cable connection. All other sites seem fine from it just backcountrypilot.org.

Slower than the wait for Nov 2012. Has been for months. Really sucks. I'm thinking it's so inefficient it must be being run by the gubment. Took over 2 minutes from the time I hit the reply button to get to the reply screen. ARRRRGH!

Been working great for me!! No slow downs at all. I just have a laptop, Clearwire Internet, wireless inside the house, and using Mozilla Firefox (auto spell check 8) ).

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

The faster I go , the farther behind I get.

Re: Massive slow down over the past few days.

Mine is working OK with Digis Wireless and Firefox. I used to use AVG, but my computer got a virus after my brother was here and did something on Hotmail. Really messed it up. I did a search and I found out Stopzilla would fix it. I bought SZ and it found hundreds of problems that AVG didn't. My computer has been running fine since.

I use Linux for an operating system. Sabayon is a great version of that using Firefox. I'm fast and have never bought any anti virus protection.
