I'm heading to Kahalui tomorrow-my buddy had a Bell 47 (RJB on the San Fran sectional) sold it all and moved to Hawaii. He has access to a 182 with a 520 over there so we're going flying. I'll post pix when I get back.

Dave,
Ya' well I just checked my lottery ticket and I won like 20 million and while I was making a list of stuff to buy, Faith Hill called and wants me to come see her while Tim is away. So I'll share the pix when I get back also...

Have a good trip and we're looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Made it back. Put 8.3 hours on the 182 and flew to every Hawaiian Island. I'm now current on crosswind landings as it is windy every day. 30-40 kts. is normal. We managed to con the Bravo controllers at Honolulu to let us go right over diamond head, Wakiki and Pearl Harbor. I post more as I get them resized.

Looks good! My wife and I went to Hawaii in October and flew around a few of the islands in a 172. Looks like we got almost the same picture of the east coast of Molokai! I've posted some of mine in my gallery.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
I think that one is Kalaupapa on Molokai. Hawaii has 14 public airports in the whole state. Two islands have no public airstrips at all, the target island which the U.S. military bombed the hell out of it and Ni'ihau, which is only for natives. Nice place to visit but I think I'd get tired of 80 degree every day.

Being a Minnesota farm boy...you get very sick of it.
My wife is military and we got sent here about two years ago. And I have been ready to leave since two weeks after we got here. The worse part is we had previously spent 5 years in Okinawa. A guy gets Island fever after a while.
