Maule M5 Covers

What are the options to cover a Maule M5 that will have to sit outside? Wings, tail, cabin, etc.

Re: Mauke M5 Covers

Bruce's Custom Covers has everything available. I've had the full coverage fuselage (to cover the patrol windows) and empennage covers for my M-5 for about 5 years now. Other than getting ripped by the flaps were they got scrapped during a wind storm that threw out the gust locks, not the cover's fault, and a few spots were the stitching along the zippers is starting to get weakened by the sun, they have been great. I would definitely buy them again when I finally need to. That is unless I finally get a hangar.

Not sure I would do wing covers as they would be hard on the wing VGs or the VGs would probably eat through the material quickly or both.

Call Alaska Tent and Tarp, a division of Airframes Alaska.

And, forget about fuselage covers, buy insulated engine cover, wing covers, windshield cover and (maybe) tail covers.

If the plane has VGs, tell them to add reinforcements for VGs to the wing covers.

But you NEED wing covers. If it’ll be windy, I’d buy mesh wing covers.

Fuselage takes care of itself, and windows will be fine unless you hit them with something. In fact, I’m not a real big fan of window covers, because in wind they can scratch the plexi.
