Maule Mods
Aircraft building and project-level overhaul forum -- Kitplanes, experimental amateur-built, homebuilding, or even restoration of certified aircraft.
Good Day Folks
Looking for some mods information?
Not going on a Certified bird.
Drawings or good photo's of seaplane doors.
Window frame or drawings for big back window on pilots side back seat.
Full cover of doors with Lexan or Acrylic.
Drawing for Metal belly.
Has anyone extended the cord of existing flaps? Ailerons? My ol M6 had some about 3/4" longer than flaps.
Has anyone made the M4 rudder any bigger, or modified the shape?
Starting on a project!
Thanks
Just not wanting to reinvent the wheel!!

IMHO Greg Miller (of Long Props Big Rocks fame) would be the go-to guy for any questions about experimental Maule mods.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Hey GT,
You probably already know this but the crew at maulepilots.org forum would have all this info readily available to send you. Andy Young just added the full left side patroller window, metal belly, metal stringers, pull handles, etc to his M6 here locally in Boulder this winter. He's always on the maule forums and is usually happy to help with information.
Stoked to see your experimental Maule!!

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
I tried to look for info at maulepilots.org the other day and it looked like a ghost town. So, it’s still running and active? Maybe I looked in the wrong spot.

I made an offer on an M6 fuselage with many mods - super skylight, metal stringers, left side back glass (huge one like you), float fittings, etc.
I figure my long M7 wings on a light M6 fuse will be a unicorn. Also mine doesn't have the servo tab on the rudder so even more of a unicorn. We'll see if it happens, at which point I will be comfortably biting off more than I can chew!

Have as much Fun as is Safe, and Keep SMILIN! GT,
Not sure if it’ll help, but here is a pic of the left side patroller window frame welded in

asa, I believe that is the earlier left rear window frame. Very difficult to replace the plexiglass over and behind the cross tube.
A later design has the frame lower member more following the diagonal tube making it easy to replace plexiglass.
George, where've you been. Welcome back. Yes maulepilots.org is up and running though its been a quieter C19 year and I was gone for all 2019 on a trip.
