This new Maule really does fly great. It’s STOL performance surpasses any PA-18 I have flown and I worked a pretty good cub in my air taxi before I got a Maule. With the M7 I now take two guys and gear into all the same strips I used to take one guy and gear- and I get there a lot faster. The Maule is not perfect but it is by far the best plane I have found to fit our business model.

Are there any cousins (Bearhawk) to the Maule competing? I would think they would do well.

Cheers...Rob

No, there are only 3 flying bearhawks in AK that I know of, and none of the owners compete.

If they did, they would be in the experimental class, which they wouldn't be competitive in.

Anyway, the maules did well, and the new one is super nice.
