Me and My Flying Machine

Found this YouTube channel that I really enjoy watching. Well put together videos and I already watched them all on her channel.

I know, not really Back Country Flying. But figured some of you would enjoy watching, too.

I'm a big fan too. Nice change of pace from the typical aviation video. Her videos are little mini adventures that are short and sweet.

Her channel is really great. Very chill and relaxing general aviation adventures. I think she does a great job as an ambassador for GA.
A nice change of pace from the more typical hyperkinetic YouTube flying videos (although those are fun too.)

Re: Me and My Flying Machine

Very nice. I like her camera position for takeoff and landing longitudinal alignment evaluation. Looking along the longitudinal axis on takeoff and right down the centerline. Looking over the prop on landing and touched down on the left side pointed slightly left. Centerline was ahead and slightly right, but appeared, from the cockpit, to be right on the centerline.

A good camera position for tailwheel instructors.

Re: Me and My Flying Machine

She’s YouTube at its best. She isn’t promoting herself or anything else. In fact, she takes care to keep the camera angles such that she’d be hard to recognize if you saw her in person. What a break from the common narcissism. No commercials, no exhortations to “like and subscribe.” Just nice video of flying in a nice place, telling a story.

At the risk of sucking up, I’ll point out that her videos are appealing in the same way as some of Zane’s are.

Really well done. Very immersive. So much more enjoyable to watch than some talking head.

Re: Me and My Flying Machine

I agree with all the above. Nice to see something other than testosterone, actually in a YouTube video.

A minor complaint, though: I wish she'd get her act together a bit more with safety stuff, especially if she's going to become a YouTube "celebrity". No shoulder harness, wearing shorts while flying over some pretty "wild" looking country, etc.

But, still fun to watch.
