Mechanic Recommendation in PHX Area

Mechanic Recommendation in PHX Area

I'm looking for a mechanic in the PHX area to perform an pre-buy inspection on a Cessna 180 with an IO-550. Does anyone have any recommendations on a mechanic experienced with tailwheel and Continental?

Call Tommy Thomason (Manager of Carefree Skyranch) at 602 708 2040. Ask him for Pike's contact info. Pike is a solid mechanic with a lot of 180 experience. He spends a lot of time at Carefree and is highly regarded. He used to be based at KSZP and had a great reputation.

My IA is out of town so I can't help you there, but you won't have any regrets if you purchase that plane, I've flown it many times. Tom is a straight shooter, and a hell of a guy. You will be amazed how far ahead of the plane he is when you fly with him. I'll probably meet you this weekend.

Spent yesterday with Pike doing a pre-buy, amazing mechanic and great guy. Thank you for the recommendation, I highly recommend Pike if your in the KDVT area, he has a mobile shop. Top Notch.
