Hey all,
Currently ferrying my 7ECA from Wyoming to NY. I am using a Bad Elf GPS paired with a iPad mini for navigation. This has worked flawlessly for several years in the Champ. Of course, now it's...
Well,
I am selling the Champ. The Citabria I bought 18 months ago and promptly stuck on it’s nose will be ready to go in a few weeks and we don’t have the room or finance’s for both - or so I am told....
Has anyone put in a heli-coil on a cylinder? I have a buggered up thread on one plug (bottom) on a A-65. Tried a thread chaser with no success . Trying do sort out my options. Any info would be useful.
Thanks,
Pete
Hey all,
Looking for a prop for a Citabria 7ECA.
McCauley 1C90/CLM7246. (I don’t believe the ALM is compatible)
Needs to be airworthy or serviceable.
If anyone out there has one or knows of one...
Hey all,
Quick route question. Looks like I am closing on a Citabria 7ECA tomorrow in Ogden. Planning on lighting out Wed. AM heading East. Looking at basically flying I-80 . Winds and weather look...
Alrighty. I have a head scratcher, or maybe not. The Champ has been a bit finicky this summer. I have chatted with my mechanic several times and he is coming up to my hanger to do the annual in two weeks....
One of the gems of the Adirondacks was vandalized after heavy rains the last few weeks. Looks like it will be closed for the rest of the season. Too bad, it's a beautiful grass strip in the mountains...
If anyone is interested I have a older SPOT Gen3 (5 years maybe?) up for grabs. Works just fine, but we have transitioned to InReach's for the rafting Co. It might cost a beer or two if our paths cross...
Got in touch with my inner Hatchet Jack today...
Fortunately there wasn't a "bar" involved. Unfortunately there wasn't a big buck involved either.

So this is a new one for me, maybe not for a bunch of you, but it got me thinking. Coming home from Maine this morning (No vacation, helping a daughter move to a new apartment unfortunately) I was on a...
Not the music, although I could listen to Asleep At The Wheel for hours on end. No, we are making a Western Swing. My wife, myself and the Cattle Dog are going to load up in the Mazda Family truckster...
I put a new set of bungees on (Federal 1,500's) the skis recently and I have a hook question. The old hook had a little tab bent into it and a locking ring. The new hook does not. Should I be concerned?...
Hey all,
FWIW, the fall colors just popped seemingly overnight here. They are spectacular right now. If anyone is looking for a flight to catch them this week is the time. Hopefully I can get out and...
I know there are several East Coast guys that like Marcy Field (For good reason). I scooted up there this morning for the first time this season and it's in great shape.

I have had this tailwheel sitting around for a couple of years. It has a STA 2.8/2.5 - 4 tire on it that is holding air. It was on the Champ when I bought it and it shimmied pretty bad on pavement, plus...
Hopefully this isn’t a stupid question. There is no mixture control on my Champ. It’s the first plane I have flown without one. I have about 100 hours in it so far and haven’t had it above 4,500’ msl....
